Our Director, Principal, & Assistant Director

Sarah Earhart
Hi, I am Ms. Sarah! I have been the Director of Concordia Learning Center since May of 2023. My two daughters have attended CLC since 2016 and we love this place! In early 2023, I was approached by Ms. Sue and Ms. Deanna regarding the position of Director, as Ms. Sue, our former director, was planning her retirement. The rest is history! I have enjoyed every day in this position since I started and I look forward to the many days and years to come. I love children and watching them learn has been a surprise reward in my new position. I am also excited to take on duties including managing our center’s staffing schedule and family wait list, as well as give tours to prospective families. Prior to working at CLC, I worked as a Registered Dietitian in worksite wellness and clinical settings for the past 17 years.
When I’m not at CLC, I can be found spending time with my family! Together we enjoy being outdoors, walking or biking to the neighborhood park, or curling up with a good book!
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions about the learning center. I would love to give you a tour and answer any questions!
Ms. Sarah

Deanna Smith
Hi, I am Principal Ms. Deanna and I have been with Concordia Lutheran Elementary (CLC) for 6 years. I have a background in elementary education, school counseling, and administration for over 15+ years. My husband and I decided to send our son, who at the time was 18 months old, to CLC because of the support, kindness of the staff, and overwhelming feeling that he would be well taken care of here. Our son is now 11 years old and continues to enjoy learning, his friends, his teachers, and all that takes place daily including having his sister join him as a 1st grader. Our family has all felt like CLC was part of who we are and has always made us feel like we belong to the whole CLC family.
When I do find free time, I enjoy watching the Dallas Cowboys with my husband Sterling, eating cheeseburgers and pizza, watching our two kids doing their things like football or gymnastics, and working out in our home gyms! I am also the kindergarten elementary teacher, upper grade math teacher, and I work closely with all staff, students, and families.
I am blessed to be here with my “family” daily.
Ms. Deanna

Ms. Jen
I have been part of the Concordia Lutheran Elementary community since June 2016. I currently serve as the Assistant Director of the Learning Center, a lead teacher in the infant room, and the Splash Pad CPO—along with supporting wherever I’m needed to help our program thrive.
I have been a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church since 2010, and my faith is an important part of both my personal life and my work with children and families.
I am a proud parent of two adult children, ages 27 and 28—one lives in San Diego, and the other in Seattle.
In my free time, I enjoy swimming, relaxing at the beach, reading, and unwinding with a great TV series. I also love a good nap—and you’ll almost always find me in my favorite flip-flops!
Ms. Jen
About Us
CLC is based on the firm foundation of God’s Word. A Christ-centered curriculum enables us to fulfill our objectives. All education achieves its highest purpose only if its aim is service to God and all creation.
The curriculum is prepared in accordance with Classical Lutheran Education through Memoria Press. Classical and Lutheran education can be defined simply as the liberal arts with Lutheran catechesis. The liberal arts cultivate the student’s mind and character with academic rigor, formative content, and tools for learning. Lutheran catechesis addresses matter of the child’s soul through the Holy Scriptures, Lutheran confessions, Lutheran liturgy, and Lutheran Hymnody. With the Seven Liberal Arts and the Small Catechism’s Six Chief Parts, classical and Lutheran education teaches for two kingdoms: an earthly kingdom and a heavenly kingdom.
Memoria Press exists to promote and impart the classical heritage of the Christian West. They do this through an emphasis on the liberal arts and the great works of the Western tradition. To achieve this goal, they have produced a comprehensive and accessible classical Christian curriculum that encourages the development of wisdom and virtue through a pursuit of the Good, the True, and the Beautiful. Our motto is “Saving Western Civilization One Student at a Time” and expresses our passion for defending and transferring the culture of the Christian West through classical education.
Concordia Lutheran Elementary (CLC) is accredited through CCLE (Consortium for Classical Lutheran Education) and NLSA (National Lutheran School Accreditation) which makes us the only Lutheran school in the valley with dual accreditations.
Concordia Learning Center (CLC) is an accredited classical school through CCLE (Consortium for Classical Lutheran Education) and NLSA (National Lutheran School Accreditation) which makes us the only Lutheran school in the valley with dual accreditations. CLC is an early childhood learning center for all ages from infants through 6th grade. CLC started 11 years ago and has been thriving ever since. Our classrooms are each focused on play-based learning as it is proven children learn and grow best this way. We also use the Classical Curriculum for our educational piece. Our children at CLC are loved and well taken care of as our caregivers are dedicated to their students and their growth edcuationally.

What Parents are Saying

Lee-Chin Family
My daughter has been attending CLC for 2 years, and she loves it here. She has learned so much, and she is always coming home excited about something new. Her teachers have been so helpful, and we all work together as a team to help her. She has grown so much, academically and emotionally, since we started going to this school. The school and church community have welcomed our family, and my daughter always feels safe, happy, and loved at CLC.

Schmidt Family
CLC has truly been my children’s home away from home. We have felt like family from the minute we started. It’s about so much more than your child’s education. Every person in the building knows my kids, their personalities, and when they are having a good or bad day, etc. Teachers and staff genuinely care about your family. There is a culture cultivated at CLC; you aren’t just enrolling your kid in a private school. You are becoming part of a clan that wants to spend time together creating memories outside of the school day. The curriculum is challenging and paced well. I do feel like Concordia is reaching objectives well beyond what a public school is achieving. There is also an emphasis on your child’s spiritual education. You are getting the whole package at Concordia. We are proud to be a part of what CLC has to offer.

Gutierrez Family
We send all five of our children to CLC! We have experienced every class from the infant room through sixth grade and can’t speak highly enough about CLC. Our little ones are well nurtured and cared for at the learning center, and our elementary schoolers get a wonderful classical Christian education. The class sizes are small, and the teachers are wonderful, taking the time to tailor the teaching to each child and meet them where they are. And best of all, the Christian faith is woven into each school day. The kids all attend worship time together each morning; the elementary schoolers participate in chapel every week; and the older children participate in a daily Bible study. We also appreciate how open the school is, allowing us to volunteer in class, chaperone field trips, and participate in the parent-teacher league. The facilities are clean, bright, cheerful, and the school is organized and operated very professionally. We love the Christmas program put on by the children and teachers each year, which warms our hearts! There is great camaraderie, fostered through parties and fundraising events for the whole family. We love CLC!
